Gary Franklin Gunter, 71 of McNeil, Arkansas passed away on March 7, 2021 at the John R. Williamson Hospice House in El Dorado, Arkansas. Gary was born on March 31, 1949 in Magnolia, Arkansas to the late Ezar Franklin Gunter and Martha Jean (Byrd) Gunter. He was a member of Victory Baptist Church in McNeil and a former Volunteer for the McNeil Fire Department. Gary is preceded in death by his parents and a brother Michael Warren Gunter. He is survived by his wife Patsy Ann Gunter of McNeil, Arkansas; three daughters, Gean and Brian Sieger of Stamps, Arkansas, Jennifer and John Plumley of Lowell, Arkansas, Jill and Kevin Holland of Magnolia; two step-sons, Jason and Tammy Willis and Ricky and Kris Willis all of Houston, Texas; a sister Kay and Sam Sharp; sister in law Jacky Sanders Gunter all of McNeil; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation with the family will begin at 1:00 PM at Shiloh Cemetery with a graveside service to follow at 2:00 PM on Thursday, March 11, 2021 with Bro. Lonnie Warren and Bro. Danny Bullock officiating under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. Memorial donations may be made to the Cancer Center at MD Anderson in Houston, Texas. Pallbearers will be Jake Plumley, Donnie Gunter, John Paul Plumley, Brian Sieger, Mark Fullenwider, and Zane Glasscock.
