James W. Cheatham

James Woodrow “J.W.” Cheatham, 84 of Magnolia, Arkansas passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2020 at his home. He was born on April 14, 1936 in Village, Arkansas to the late James Preston Cheatham and Ethel Ivy (Greer) Cheatham. He was a member of Village Baptist Church, and worked for the Columbia County Road Department for 45 years with 25 years as Road Foreman. He collected John Deere Memorabilia, enjoyed doing lawn work, spending time with family, and listening to country music. He is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters Carolyn Evans and Shirley Andrews. J.W. is survived by his wife Nancy Cheatham of Magnolia; two sons, Paul Cheatham of Magnolia, Eric Shawn Cheatham of Walnut Ridge; two daughters, Jamie Boyd of Wake Village, Barbara Martin of Lubbock; 7 grandchildren, Mark Anderson and Amber Anderson of Midland, Tyler and Mallory Boyd of Odessa, Dylan Cheatham of Walnut Ridge, Zachary Manus of Walnut Ridge, Erica James of Portia, and Emma Cheatham of Walnut Ridge; 3 great grandchildren, Brigham Martin, Presley Martin, and Kevin Gabe Martin; 9 great great grandchildren, Anniston Cheatham, Beau Manus, Emilee Manus, Marissa James, Conner James, Olivia Anderson, Josh Anderson, McKenzie Saffel, and Cade Anderson; and 1 great great great grandchild Nevah Saffell; a sister Dorothy Orren of Village; and a brother Tony Cheatham of Bossier City; and a host of extended family and friends. A graveside service will be at 10:00 am on Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at Memorial Park Cemetery with Bro. Clay Dickson and Bro. Sean Lupton officiating under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. in Magnolia. The guest book and viewing will be available on Monday, July 20 from 1:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude’s or to the American Heart Association. Pallbearers will be Steve Evans, James Woodward, Chris Evans, Tyler Boyd, Dusty Evans, and Glen Holly.
