Robert Toms Hardy

November 27, 1938 - December 8, 2019

Robert Toms Hardy, 81, of Magnolia, AR passed away Sunday, December 8, 2019 at the Magnolia Regional Medical Center in Magnolia, AR. Robert was born on November 27, 1938 in Columbia County, AR to the late James Pendleton and Sally Mae (Toms) Hardy. He attended Macedonia Elementary and graduated in 1956 from Magnolia High School. He graduated from Southern State College with a bachelor’s degree in business and Auburn University with a master’s in science in education. Robert worked for Arizona Chemical as a transportation director, Willisville School District as a teacher, and the Taylor School District as the Elementary Principal and Federal Program Coordinator. He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church, Corinth Baptist Church, Missionary Baptist Fellowship, and the Cavaliers Trio. Robert was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Talmadge Hardy, Raedean Hardy Nipper, Bonnie Jean Hardy, Thomas Alvin Hardy, James Pat Hardy, and Betty Sue Hardy. He is survived by his sisters, Christine Hardy Nipper of Magnolia, AR and Polly Hardy Hartsfield of Bonham, TX; sister-in-law Evelyn Krouse Hardy of Magnolia, AR; nieces, Jan Hardy Hearnsberger and husband Ronnie of Springhill, LA, Pam Hardy Guevara and husband Pacho of Houston, TX, Terri Hartsfield Holder and husband Bernie of Bonham, TX, and Tammi Hartsfield Tysell and husband Ken of Dallas, TX; nephews, Bill Nipper of Hot Springs, AR, James Hardy and wife Geri of Minden, LA, and Steve Hardy and wife Tina of Magnolia; and numerous great nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM at the Spring Branch Baptist Church with Bro. Wayne Raines officiating. Burial will follow at the Spring Branch Cemetery under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc, in Magnolia, AR. Pallbearers will be James Hardy, Steve Hardy, Brian Masters, Craig Masters, Phillip Hardy, and Walker Hardy. The family requests memorial donations are sent to the Corinth Baptist Church or to the Spring Branch Cemetery, P.O.
