Troy Waller, 74, of Emerson, Arkansas passed away on Friday, March 5, 2021 at the John R. Williamson Hospice House in El Dorado, Arkansas. Troy was born on July 30,1946 in Magnolia, Arkansas and served in the United States Army National Guard. Troy was a hard worker and started out as an insurance salesman for Commonwealth and American General Life Insurance Companies, was a sales representative for John Deere equipment with Magnolia Tractor, a jailer for Columbia County Sheriffs Office, and retired as a crew leader for the Columbia County Road Department. Troy was a member of the Brister Baptist Church, was very involved with the Emerson FFA and FFA Alumni, a proud supporter of the Emerson Pirate Basketball Team, and was an avid hunter. He was preceded in death by his parents Ballard Otha and Mabel Aline (Dennis) Waller. Troy is survived by his wife Brenda Waller of Emerson; children Denise Henderson and husband Marty of Emerson, Sherri Dickey and husband Kevin of Thermopolis, Wyoming, and Ashley Flurry and husband Chuck of ElDorado; grandchildren Wyatt Henderson and wife Ashley of Taylor, Karaline Tripp and husband Joey of Emerson, Eli Dickey, Luke Dickey, Seth Dickey, and Silas Dickey of Thermopolis, Karis Flurry, Kyra Flurry, Kalista Flurry, and Kadence Flurry of El Dorado; great grandson Hoytt Henderson of Taylor; sisters Joyce White of Mena and Donita Almand and husband Dale of Prescott; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the Brister Baptist Church with Dr. Eric Goble officiating and assisted DVM Kevin Dickey. Burial will follow at the Western Cemetery under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. in Magnolia, Arkansas. Visitation with the family will be Monday, March 8 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Troy’s grandsons and nephews, Wyatt Henderson, Eli Dickey, Luke Dickey, Joey Tripp, Andy Almand, and Jody Almand. Memorial donations may be made to the Brister Baptist Church Building Fund or to the Emerson FFA Alumni. The funeral service will be lived streamed on the Brister Baptist Church Facebook page.
